| This fine ceramic piece is made using a high-fire micro crystalline glaze. Each piece has been fired to a temperature of over 2200 f. During the long firing and cooling cycle, the interaction of chemicals in the glaze creates the iridescent surface and lightning bolt patterns. The glazes are very responsive to changes in light. In direct light, they have a deep saturated color, while indirect light brings out their metallic quality and iridescence. All are dishwasher and microwave safe. As with any ceramic item, avoid sudden extremes of temperature.
